more practice. personal thoughts: I was trying to work with just two colors, green and orange.  (The yellow doesn’t count.)  Things I learned; subtly is key and that learning to control the mid-tone values is most important.  A lot of depth can be achieved just by darkening or lightening, even if at first it isn’t perceptible.  Texture is also important, but I’m not as concerned about this at the moment.  I need to get my values down and understand their relationships to each other in defining shape/form and the way light behaves on different materials, through different atmospheres, and to the eye.

more practice.the lighting is way off. light doesn’t look yellow like that, especially not on those color buildings. what the fuck was i thinking. also i think i liked the sky better when it was a flat color.
